Which fields are hydrazine hydrate used in?

Hydrazine hydrate is a colorless and transparent oily liquid with a slight ammonia odor. It smokes in humid air and has strong alkalinity and hygroscopicity. Under normal pressure, hydrazine can form an azeotrope with water (the content of hydrazine in azeotrope is about 69%). The industry usually uses 40%-80% hydrazine hydrate aqueous solution or hydrazine salt. Hydrazine hydrate liquid exists as a dimer, which is miscible with water and ethanol, but is insoluble in ether and chloroform. It can corrode glass, rubber, leather, cork, etc., and decompose into N2, NH3 and H2 at high temperature. Hydrazine hydrate has strong reducibility, can react with halogen, HNO3, KMnO4, etc., absorb CO2 in the air and produce smoke.

Hydrazine hydrate is a strong reducing agent and a raw material for medicines, pesticides, dyes, foaming agents, imaging agents and antioxidants. It is widely used as a deoxidizer for large boiler water. It is also used to make high-purity metals, synthetic fibers and the separation of rare elements. In addition, it is also used to make rocket materials and explosives. It is also used as an analytical reagent. Most of the hydrazine derivatives used as blowing agents are azodicarbonamide (AC) and hydrazine tosylate. Isoniazid, biphenyl thiosemicarbazide, and benzenesulfonyl thiosemicarbazide are widely used as drug derivatives, as well as antipsychotics 1-isonicotinyl-2-isopropylhydrazine, and anticancer drugs derived from aldehyde hydrazine Anti-infectives 5-nitrofuran-methylene hydrazine derivatives, antibiotic azo cephalosporins, diuretics, hydrazine derivatives used as pesticides, including plant growth regulators, maleic hydrazide derivatives, rodenticides Diphenylhydrazine, fungicide pyrazole derivatives and 5-nitrofuran thiosemicarbazide, herbicide triazole, etc. In Japan, more than 1/3 of hydrazine is used as a deoxidizer for boiler water, about 30% of the liver (including hydrazine hydrate and hydrazine sulfate) is used as a foaming agent, and 10% is used as a masking agent.
